What is an illusion? According to Webster’s dictionary, it is “a thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses”. So, what is a memory? Ask this question to yourself: can a memory be the same for any two people? Can the feeling of the memory be the same to those two people? Maybe yes, maybe no. My answer would be no because a self-feeling is self-awareness. A memory gives each person their own sense of awareness or familiarity so it wouldn’t be the same for two people, in my opinion. For example, it’s been proven that kids may have heard something on TV or believed something into their adult lives about their childhood – only then to realize that it never actually happened. I know my words may sound crazy but hear me out. Life should be lived as though it’s an illusion, and I don’t mean the magic trick type. Take the goods out of life and don’t see the bad as though they are not present. Just like the bads may not be present to you, it may feel like you yourself one day weren’t present. One day, you will cease to exist in a world that will also, one day, cease to exist. We are only one milky way galaxy out of trillions of others. Through these infinite black holes, don’t allow your thoughts to sink in them and get sucked up away through the misery, pity, and remorse that you bring upon yourself. The miraculous thing about this thing we call life is that we as people have the ability to become what we want, whether its through imagination, ideas, movies, actors, books, etc. We have something called a brain that we sometimes use against ourselves. I know this may sound like a rambling rant, but the message is this: it doesn’t matter who believes or supports your message. At the end of the day, don’t lose your self-feeling to a world that is just an illusion.
